PHILANTHROPY

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders
Delta Phi Epsilon Education Foundation

The Omega chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon has three philanthropies that we promote each year. In the fall, we raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. This past year, the Omega chapter raised $63,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help drive its mission of finding a cure. We invite the fraternities to participate in two main fundraising events - the Hoops For Hope basketball tournament and a Deepher Dude talent show. Congratulations David Mills of Sigma Alpha Mu for winning the Deepher Dude pageant.

In the spring, we raise money and spread awareness for Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders by holding various events such as Yoga on the Green, Smash the Scale, and Trash your Insecurities. In a city like Miami, there is often a lot of pressure to look a certain way. We proudly serve as ambassadors for healthy attitudes and body image on campus and within our community. This year we raised $23,000 which was donated to the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders.

The Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation is our final philanthropy which raises and awards funds to provide undergraduate and graduate scholarships to our sisters in chapters all over the country.
